I am looking to partner with a CFP to write my financial plans. I am finding it difficult to find a qualified planner in my community that will take on this kind of work. Would you recommend hiring a full time CFP on our staff to write our financial plans? What about some of the outsourced financial planners that will write financial plans for advisors?

A. You could hire a full-time financial planner to be part of your team.

B. Yes, you can outsource. Try the local chapter of the Financial Planning Association. Make an announcement that you want to pay a fee to outsource the writing of your financial plans. I would be surprised if you don't get several people interested, hopefully some qualified.

C. If your evaluation is successful and you join the Committed Advisor Program we have a complete process for building your team that includes vetting for best-in-class, partnering process, and leadership.

For now, I would concentrate on doing as many Financial Road Map Interviews™ as possible

b For the last 10 years we go annually to Charity a function for a Dialysis Association. Our neighbors assist their sister (who is a kidney transplant recipient) to organize this. The neighbors nor the sister are Ideal Clients - not delagators. My aim is to get to the medical specialists and treat and do the kidney transplants and a couple that attend the charity ball each year. There are potentially a few people who could potentially be Ideal Clients at the ball with own business etc. My thoughts were of donating say 3 of the VBFP books per table ( the customized books are due arrive on 10th May and the Charity Ball is on the 14th May) I could include a Financial Road Map® conversation over the phone This may be beneficial to the people concerned and I may be lucky to get an Ideal Client. Perhaps I could contact the doctors at the dialysis unit later and mention I donated the books, if they received a copy and if not--- it may be of interest to them.--- would they like a book sent and set up a 20 minute phone conversation. Bill, what do you think? Can you suggest more or something else? If you agree I will try to draft up a couple of phone conversations --- first to the charity ball organizers (my friends) and secondly the doctors at the dialysis unit.
b I am having an appointment with clients who reside in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I Would really like to complete a Financial Road Map® with them. May I use Skype or what are your recommendations.
b I seem to have laser-like focus in my mountain bike race training. I'm constantly motivated to learn more about training, equipment, nutrition, and race tactics. It never wanes. However, I easily get frustrated with my progress in my Ideal Life Evaluation Program journey and I fall back to old habits (frustrating me more). Are there any good books, websites, or any other resources to help me achieve the same business focus as I have with my mountain biking?

b I'm the owner of a brand new RIA and am trying to build my business from the bottom up. What recommendations do you have for someone in my position? I want to build the firm the right way, but I also need to eat and feed my family. How do I balance those two competing elements?
