There are a number of people who do business with my agency that I don’t have much of a relationship with (other than they bought insurance from my agency and I may have been involved in their purchase). Would this be more of a self-referral option, or should I get a referral from the servicing staff member, or should I treat them as a client and just use the normal procedure?

Yes, it could be handled like a self-referral or it could be handled with the Old-World New-World™ process described in scheduling appointments in Mastery Series™ 1 with existing clients. Mastery Series 1: Pg. 29

b When I am calling prospects (not clients) that are already in my company's database, is it better to use the Self-Referral Process or the Financial Road Map® scheduling script?
b When making the calls to schedule Financial Road Map® interviews with current clients, I've received the same reply numerous times. The client will often say something to the effect that he/she needs to check scheduling with their spouse and will get back to me with a time that works for the two of them. I reply that it is fine and confirm when I can check back in. I then send an email to the client I spoke with to serve as a reminder. Is there anything else I should be doing? I imagine that pressing to set an appointment on the phone, with language like, “Let's set a time that works for you, you'll check with your spouse and we can reschedule if necessary” is too “salesy”?
b I'm new to Values-Based Financial Planning™ and am looking forward to the Academy 1 in October. In the meantime, I wanted your guidance on the following: I've been referred to a young family man who is dying. I'm wondering about how he'll react to a question like, “What’s Important About… To You?” and probably more so to the question about his tangible goals... especially as he doesn't have much of a road to look down. How do you handle conversations with people who are dying, especially young people with families?
b A client asked, “How does this (having a Trusted Advisor) work in practice?” I started to explain that we work with a team of Subject Matter Experts in their narrow fields of expertise to create a plan to get your financial house in perfect order and keep it that way forever. I briefly explained the Three Meeting Process™ as well. Is this the right approach to take if asked this question or what else should I have / have not said?
b I have conducted Financial Road Maps with a few clients approximately 1 year ago. I did NOT ask them to join my Ideal Client Community at the time as I did not feel they could afford my Predictable Minimum Annual Recurring Revenue and / or they did not have enough assets. They are currently survival clients. I would like to ask them to come in again to update their Financial Road Maps and at the same time ask them to join our ideal client community as I have more clarity around their income and feel they could now pay my Predictable Minimum Annual Recurring Revenue. How would you suggest I conduct this second meeting? For example, should I ask them to bring in all their documents again, update their Financial Road Maps, and go through commitment to hire outlining exactly what they get and what it costs to join the ideal client community and see where it goes?
